Description
Ghritakumari. The leaf, undisturbed.
The aloe leaf has been called Ghritakumari in our texts — the maiden who restores. For millennia, Ayurveda has reached for her cooling pulp at the first sign of heat, irritation, or fatigue in the body. We bottle her with the same intention: nothing borrowed, nothing dressed up, nothing in a hurry.
A single ingredient. Set into a clear, cool gel.
This is a 100g jar of aloe vera, and very little else.
No parabens. No artificial fragrance pretending to be flower. No mineral oil, no thickening sulphates, no silicone slip. Just Aloe barbadensis miller — the species Ayurveda has trusted for centuries — set into a transparent, weightless gel that absorbs in seconds and leaves behind only a faint, clean coolness.
It is, deliberately, the most ordinary thing in your skincare drawer. Which is precisely why it does the most.
Four ways the jar earns its place on your shelf
I. On the face. A morning layer beneath moisturiser. A calming compress after a long sun-soaked day. Softens redness, supports the skin's barrier, and dissolves fine dehydration lines without sitting heavy.
II. Through the hair. Massaged onto the scalp before wash day as a gentle clarifier. A small amount smoothed through the ends returns shine without weight.
III. After the sun. Kept chilled in the refrigerator, then drawn down warm shoulders, arms, the back of the neck. The body's oldest answer to heat — untouched, and unimproved upon.
IV. On small troubles. Razor burn. Winter knuckles. A child's scraped knee. The unshowy first-aid your grandmother kept on the windowsill, returned to its proper place.
What's inside
Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis miller) leaf extract, food-grade gelling base, and a minimal preservative system within Indian cosmetic regulatory limits. That is the entire formulation.
What's not
No parabens. No SLS or SLES. No artificial colour. No mineral oil. No synthetic fragrance. No animal testing. What you smell is the leaf itself — faint, vegetal, clean.
Made the way we make everything
Heartyculture is the wellness practice of the Heartfulness ecosystem, formulated and produced at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Telangana — the same campus that holds our meditation work.
The discipline we bring to a sitting is the discipline we bring to a formula: only what belongs, only as much as is needed, and only when it is ready.

A small request
Even with a formulation this simple, we ask first-time users to apply a little to the inner forearm and wait twenty-four hours before broader use. The skin will tell you what it needs. Listen to it.
