It is with great joy and reverence that we offer this volume of most precious photographs of one of the greatest beings and we trust that it will become an heirloom for future generations to have a peep into that special personality we know as Babuji. This special edition is made of 'Non-Tearable' special paper that would extend the life of these most precious photographs. Excerpt from foreword written by beloved Daaji, which is included in this book: Shri Ram Chandraji of Shahjahanpur, fondly known as Babuji, has an almost mythical status in the Sahaj Marg tradition. We know him as the founder of Shri Ram Chandra Mission and the Guru who spread spirituality far and wide to elevate and expand consciousness. The books he wrote while he was alive contain the philosophy related to the practice he offered, including many profound innovations in spiritual practices and understanding never before seen in print. There are very few seekers left today who knew Babuji, and even fewer who knew him in the early days when his mission of spreading the practices and teachings were in their fledgling stage. This first volume of photographs of Babuji is from that early period, up to 1970. It spans the period from before he met Lalaji, through the period when he was Lalaji´s disciple, and then when he assumed the role of Lalaji´s successor-representative, and was travelling around India by train and bus, spreading the fragrance of spirituality to all who were interested. Some of his most devoted associates and disciples of those days also appear in these early images, such as D r K.C. Varadachari from Thirupathi, Shri Ishwar Sahai, Sister Kasturi, Andre Poray and Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari, who eventually became his successor-representative. Others, like Shri S.A. Sarnad and Kasi Ram Agrawal, will appear in later volumes, because the early photographs in which they appear are too damaged to print here. -Daaji
